Support for Carers In Brent

Support for Carer’s In Brent

Caring for someone can be both physically and emotionally demanding, and it is essential to take time to look after yourself.

What Is A Carer?

A career is anyone who provides care or support to a partner, child, family member, friend, or neighbor who is unable to manage without help due to illness or disability.

Many people do not see themselves as careers, but if you regularly support someone in this way, you are entitled to support and guidance.

Balancing caring responsibilities with your own well-being can be challenging. That’s why it’s important to take time for yourself and access the available support services.

Our Services Include

We work closely with local organizations, including Brent Careers Centre, to connect careers with the right support:

  • Referral to Brent Carers Centre — Access to free advice, benefits guidance, counselling, and carer support services.
  • Health checks and vaccinations for carers — Prioritised access to flu vaccines and health checks to support your wellbeing.

What to Expect During Your Appointment

When you let us know you’re a career, we’ll take the time to understand your situation and connect you with relevant support services:

  • Discussion of your caring role — A confidential conversation about who you care for and how this impacts your daily life.
  • Review of your health and wellbeing — We’ll check in on your physical and mental health needs as a carer.
