Appointments

We offer a range of convenient options for booking appointments, including online services, e-consultations, and access via the NHS app.

Non-urgent advice: Important Notice: Before Booking An Appointment.

We highly recommend that all patients visit our Consult a Doctor or Health Professional page prior to scheduling an appointment.

Many symptoms or health concerns may be effectively addressed without the need for a formal consultation, potentially saving you time and reducing unnecessary wait times.

Our expert resources and guidance may provide you with helpful information or recommend alternative treatments that can be implemented immediately.

In partnership with the Federation and Primary Care Networks (PCNs), we have developed a comprehensive, scalable, and effective plan to deliver high-quality care to our Practice and PCN population.

The proposed plan aims to improve patient access to healthcare services by addressing key issues related to appointment scheduling, communication, and the overall patient experience.

The initiative strives to implement:

  • Same-day and next-day telephone and face-to-face appointments with a range of clinicians for urgent and routine needs.
  • Pre-bookable appointments for follow-up care.
  • Clinical “Triage and Treat” clinics across the PCN.
  • Automated switchboard support via telephone in thirteen languages for patients (weekdays).
  • “Real Time” clinical team support for patients via telephone (weekdays).

Appointment Rules

To ensure quality care and minimize waiting times, we have established essential rules for appointments:

10-Minute GP Appointments:

  • One appointment covers one problem for one patient.
  • Please do not request the doctor to see other family members during your appointment.

Before Your Appointment:

  • Clarify your concerns and prepare brief notes on your symptoms.
  • Address key issues early in the visit.
  • Wear accessible clothing if an examination may be necessary.
  • Ensure you understand the action plan; ask for clarification if needed.

Cancel Appointments

GP appointment? Don’t need it? Cancel it!

To ensure quality care, please remember to cancel your appointment if you cannot attend or this will be recorded as a ”DNA” (Did Not Attend).

How to Cancel an Appointment:

  • Inform us as soon as possible, ideally at least 30 minutes before your appointment, by calling 020 3818 8441 (Harrow Road) or 020 3818 8441 (Wrottesley Road).
  • You can also cancel online via Patient Access if you’re registered.
  • Cancellations made less than 30 minutes before the appointment will be marked as a “Did Not Attend” (DNA). Repeated DNAs waste NHS resources and may result in your removal from our patient list.
