The Central and North West London (CNWL) Talking Therapies Service offers a variety of talking therapies for individuals experiencing anxiety, worry, or depression.

It is estimated that one in five people experience anxiety or depression each year, and talking therapies provide essential support and treatment to help individuals overcome these difficulties.

  • If you believe you may be experiencing anxiety or depression, you can refer yourself to the service by following one of the options below:

Online Registration: You can register online by submitting the referral form.

Once submitted, CNWL will contact you to arrange a telephone screening appointment to assess your suitability for their services.

Email Option: If you prefer a paper registration form, you may email cnw-tr.brent.iapt@nhs.net.

The team will either email or post the form to you.

After completing the form, you can return it to them, and they will contact you to schedule a telephone screening appointment.

  • Personalized Support and Advice: Our Stop Smoking Clinic is designed to provide you with tailored advice based on your smoking habits and individual needs. We offer one-on-one consultations with experienced healthcare professionals who will guide you through the quitting process.
  • Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT): As part of your treatment plan, we offer nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) to help manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms. NRT options include patches, gums, lozenges, and more, which we will discuss to find the best solution for you.
  • Prescription Medications: In addition to NRT, we may also offer prescription medications that can help reduce cravings and the urge to smoke. These medications are designed to support your effort to quit by making the process easier and more manageable.
  • Behavioral Support: We understand that quitting smoking is not just about physical dependence; it’s also about changing behavior. Our practice offers Smear Tests (Cervical Screening) to help prevent cervical cancer by detecting early changes in the cervix.

  • Routine cervical screening appointments — Usually offered every 3 years (ages 25–49) or every 5 years (ages 50–64).
  • HPV testing — Samples are tested for high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV), which can cause cervical cell changes.
