Pregnant women and families with children under 4 are now able to collect free vitamins at Family Wellbeing Centres in Brent.
Healthy Start is a national scheme which provides pregnant people and parents with children under 4 who receive financial support and all pregnant women under 18 with a card they can use to buy healthy food, milk, and infant formula. As part of the scheme, women are also able to use the card to collect Healthy Start tablets or vitamin drops for children every 8 weeks. Within Brent the provision of vitamins has been extended to be available universally for all pregnant women and families with children under 4, regardless of income.
