CNWL Talking Therapies Services
CNWL ( Central and North West London) Talking Therapies Service provides a range of talking therapies for people who feel anxious and worried or down and depressed.
Around one in five people suffers from anxiety or depression every year, and talking therapies provide people with support and treatment to overcome these difficulties. If you think you might be anxious or depressed, then you can refer yourself by:
Register online and submit the form, they will contact you to arrange a telephone screening appointment to assess your suitability for their services.
Alternatively, you can send an email on cnw-tr.brent.iapt@nhs.net if you prefer paper registration form, they can either email or post the form to you, and you will return it back to them. Again, once they receive it, they will contact you to arrange a telephone screening appointment to assess your suitability for their services.
Brent Bereavement Services
The death of a loved one can be very traumatic. Bereavement affects people in many different ways and can cause emotional and behavioural problems that affect your whole life.
The emotions can be normal feelings to a situation that is not normal, so we have no idea of how to cope. There's no right or wrong way to feel. Emotions can be confusing and overwhelming, often like waves in the sea – some smaller and some bigger.
Sometimes feeling like you're losing your sanity and unable to do anything. Grief might at times feel chaotic and out of control.
Brent Bereavement Services (BBS) aims to offer high quality responsive and professional services for people who request bereavement counselling or related advice. The services are for any Brent resident of whatever age, culture, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or disability, and is provided by suitably selected, trained and supervised Voluntary Bereavement Counsellors on a regular basis.
WHO CAN REFER
Anyone can call, email or write to refer someone they are concerned about. Brent Bereavement Services will call the individual to assess their needs and discuss with them if counselling will be appropriate.
